Did you enjoy working with a limitation? Why or why not?
I enjoyed working with a limitation because it helped me to think about how to overcome this issue to create an amazing piece of art. I felt it made my other senses stronger when one had a set back or couldn't be used. I felt a limitation caused me to work harder and really think about what I'm creating. It made me realize people have limitations all the time in life and it's how you chose to get past them that makes you who you are.
Phil Hansen, from Embrace the Shake said ‘We need to first be limited in order to become limitless.’. Did being limited in this unit help your artmaking in any way?
Yes, I feel it made my art turn out better because I was focused on creating a super cool piece in a new way using a strong sense that I put into full action. I feel having a limitation did help me to become limitless because I realized so many new ways to create art that seemed unusual. I have found a new way to art that I can really express myself in because when I'm just drawing I am not that good and I always hate how it turns out. But, I have found new ways that I enjoy and am able to produce a piece of art I actually like.
How did your final artwork turn out? Do you think it was successful?
I liked how my final artwork turned out, I used a new way to art that many people wouldn't. I used salt to create SpongeBob characters which was fun to make and such an interesting way to create art. I think it was pretty successful because you can tell who my artwork was about and you can really tell I use a creative mind to make art.
